Portal crane is commonly known as "gantry crane", refers to the traditional cranes used at port wharf etc.

Pedestal crane is generally used on the shore gantry track, equipped with hooks, grab, electromagnetic, container spreader etc. It is used for loading and unloading of heavy parts and bulk cargo, which is a multi-purpose portal crane.
The crane is manufactured with advanced technology, which has the advantages of reasonable structure layout, flexible and accurate mechanism, safe and reliable use, convenient maintenance and so on.
Pedestal crane can make lifting, luffing, 360 degree rotation and the whole machine traveling along the track. In the operation, the lifting, luffing and rotating mechanism can be operated either individually or jointly, and the operation of each mechanism can be carried out in the driver's room.
Pedestal cranes are equipped with overload limiter, aeronautical signal lamp, wind meter, power cable reel, anchoring device, maintenance lifting point, windproof cable, safety limit and so on.
Portal crane technical data need to be confirmed
1. Lifting capacity: Includes the hoisting material load and the spreader(grab, hook etc) weight.
2. Lifting height: Includes the sum of the lifting height above the rail and below the rail.
3. Amplitude: The maximum distance between the centre of the crane and the lead perpendicular of the hoist center.
4. Gauge: Refers to the horizontal distance between the central line of the crane's track.
5. Working speed: Should be determined on the basis of the required productivity.
